Meet Mr. Ferguson — Volunteer Art Teacher (with staff of family & friends)
Art has been a lifelong passion for Mr. Ferguson, who brings both heart and experience to every lesson he teaches. A natural educator, he’s right at home sharing his love of creativity with learners of all ages.
Mr. Ferguson began his journey in Buffalo, New York, where he earned his degree in Art Education. His desire to deepen his craft led him to Temple University in Philadelphia, where he completed his graduate studies in Fine Arts. This combination of solid educational training and hands-on artistic exploration shaped his distinctive teaching approach — one that blends classical technique with personal expression.
With many years of public school teaching experience, Mr. Ferguson has guided countless students toward discovering their artistic confidence. His lessons are designed to be welcoming, inspiring, and accessible — whether you’re picking up a pencil for the first time or returning to a beloved hobby.
Now volunteering his time as an art teacher, he continues to share the joy of drawing and creativity with the community. His goal is simple but powerful: to help others “learn to see” the world through an artist’s eyes — with curiosity, patience, and imagination.
“Art isn’t about perfection,” he often says, “it’s about discovery. Every line tells a story — and every artist has one worth sharing.”
